A workout i fianlly think y'all will agree with!

First off it is a classic 5x5 strenght training program. I would just like to ask how long i should do it for 8, 10, 12 weeks..? The workout goes as follows.

Workout A

Barbell Squat 5 sets of 5 reps
Dumbbell Bench Press on ball 5 sets of 5 reps
Inverted Rows 3 sets of max reps
Push ups 3 sets of max reps
Reverse Crunches 3 sets of 12 reps

Workout B

Barbell Squat 5 sets of 5 reps
Military press 5 sets of 5 reps
Barbell Deadlift 1 sets of 5 reps
Underhand Pull ups 3 sets of max reps
Plank 3 sets of max  time

And after each workout their is an ab workout

Leg Raises, Lying  3 sets of 10 reps
Crunch, Alternating Side, Stability Ball 3 sets of 10 reps
Crunch, Stability Ball, Reach and Pass 3 sets of 10 reps
Russian Twist 3 sets of 10 reps
Hanging Leg Raises 3 sets of 10 reps

I would like to get stronger so that i can be stronger in sports and also move to another program for muscle mass. I'd like to hear your thoughts

Not bad!

Of course anyone can nitpick; I think this is a good start, though. I’m not huge on crunch variations (I’ve written about this in the past, so I won’t bore you here), but if you love them, you love them. Unless you have an injury issue, I’d consider replacing one of your 5×5 squats with 5×5 deadlifts and eliminating the 1×5 dl on day 2. 6 weeks should be plenty to reap the full rewards of this program, then change it up! Sorry for noobing it up

But I am someone who works out from time to time, but I’ve never developed a planned workout schedule. Trying to decipher this. 5 sets of just 5 reps (that doesn’t seem like very much). Usually I do 3 sets of 10, is there a benefit to lower reps and more weight? And when you say 3 sets of max reps? Does that mean go till I burn out then stop, rest, then do another, and another. I’ve never figured out the workout terminology so I’d appreciate some clarification or a point in the direction of a good resource you’d reccommend.
